It's possible to practice canoe in Trasimeno and Piediluco lakes, along the rivers Nera, Corno, Chiascio and Tevere. The most famous manifestation is the International Slope of Tevere (www.discesadeltevere.org) with canoe, a nautical camping opened also to inexpert people, which takes place since the 25 of April to 1st of May and which starts from Città di Castello, in the north of the Umbria and arrives in Rome. While the Tevere can be navigated also for short calm courses (Ponte Felcino - Ponte San Giovanni), a unique experience is for sure that one of going of board a dinghy just under Marmore cascade in order to descend Nera's rapids: beyond 3 kilometres in the impetuous river which runs on cliffs, between green sides.
